It didn’t go well for him. The Model X may be ugly but good lord is it fast. Bonus gray GT350 with black stripes/wheels in the parking lot when I got to dinner. Haven’t seen this color combo before. I don’t normally like gray cars, but I quite dig this.

I know, right? I think they could do a better job with ththe hood scoop and tail pipes. In fact, I actually prefer the RC350 F-Sport, but both are very good looking cars.

Sit down this is gonna take a sec. So a company called Carrols Restauruant Group that owns a ton of Burger King franchises used to own both Pollo Tropical and a chain headquartered here in SA called Taco Cabana. A couple years ago, Carrols decided to spin off their “Hispanic brands” as a separate publicly traded company called Fiesta Restaurant Group. So now PT and TC are one company. As a result, brand new PT’s have been popping up all over SA in the last 18 months or so.

My nearest Pollo Tropical, which opened last year, used to be a Blockbuster that got torn down. Before a few years ago, when I first saw one, I’d never heard of Pollo Tropical.

They’ve been around for a while in Southern Florida I think but are really expanding like crazy recently. I think one near me used to be a Blockbuster too!
